The Anti-Counterfeit System of the pharmaceutical companies (ACS-PU system) is part of the National Medicines Verification System (NMVS) operated by securPharm e.V., which is mandated under European law to protect the legal supply chains for prescription medicines.
ACS is a brand of PharmaProtect Solutions GmbH.
Our shareholders are Pharma Deutschland e.V., the German Pharmaceutical Industry Association (BPI), Pro Generika e.V. and the German Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (vfa).
The ACS-PU system of the pharmaceutical companies
The database system of the pharmaceutical industry contains the pack data of all prescription medicines in Germany. By comparing the pack data printed on each package with the data stored in the database, the system verifies the authenticity of every medicine package before it reaches doctors and patients.
